Agree the end while it is still visible
Once your group has permission to collect, walk to the target together and leave every arrow in place. Call the values, resolve any uncertainty under the rules being used and let the scorer repeat the result. Only then take the photograph.
The image is not a replacement for the archers checking the end. It is a shared record of what everyone agreed before the target changed.

Make the photograph useful
Stand square to the face and include the whole scoring area whenever possible. Keep the phone steady, check that each shaft and hole is visible, and avoid a severe angle that makes line cutters difficult to understand later.
Wait until the range is safe and collection has been called.
Keep all arrows in the target until the score is agreed and photographed.
Include the full face and avoid covering an arrow with a hand or score sheet.
Check the image before anyone pulls.

Then clear the target
When the photograph and scores are confirmed, put the phone away and pull arrows using the safe method taught by your club. One repeatable order—agree, photograph, pull—reduces rushed corrections and gives every archer on the target the same record.
